Comrade Anil Mahato, secretary of CPI(M)’s Bankisol branch; Comrade Avijit Mahato, leader of SFI’s zonal committee and Comrade Niladri, leader of DYFI’s local committee were gunned down by the Maoists at No 6 - National Highway near Lodhasuli under Jhargram sub-division in West Midnapore district on June 17, 2009.
