After the election was over in Howrah district on May 8, 2009 (Friday), the TMC activists carried ou armed attacks in Baksi of Bagnan, Chandrapur of Amta, Rabibhag Purbapara and Deorapara (Bagnan), South Malikpara and Ramchak (Udaynarayanpur) and killed three CPI (M) members. Comrade Sheikh Saidul, a CPI (M) activist and a labourer of Rabibhag Purbapara in Bagnan was murdered by the TMC goons. They also hurled bomb on Sheikh Babua at Khara Chhilampur of Baksihat in Bagnan. Babua, who had just completed the Madhyamik examination, lost his life in this attack. The TMC activists also attacked Comrade Chandu Dalui at his house in South Malikpara of Udaynarayanpur. Dalui, a CPI (M) member was also killed in this attack.Wednesday, February 24, 2010
